In view of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities (IDPD), ISPO has launched a digital crowdspeaking campaign on social media to invite the P&O and users’ community to add their voice to ISPO’s call for an inclusive society.
About one hundred individuals expressly supported the campaign meaning that on 3 December, the exact same message “We team up for an inclusive society, #ISPOWER celebrates #IDPD” was posted simultaneously on these individuals’ social media account, reaching more than 90,000 people on social media! We are proud of this successful initiative and want to thank all those who, have decided to support ISPO’s call from around the world.
We should of course continue calling for an inclusive society beyond 3rd December! Find out how to support #ISPOWER.
What is the IDPD?
IDPD has been promoted by the United Nations since 1992. It takes place every year on 3 December. IDPD advocates for the rights and well-being of persons with disabilities in all spheres of society, and aims to increase awareness on the situation of persons with disabilities in every aspect of political, social, economic and cultural life.
