The future course of treatment with orthopaedic interventions is set afresh every two years at OTWorld, International Trade Show and World Congress, organised by BIV-OT/Confairmed and Leipzig Messe. This years’ event will take place from 15 to 18 May 2018 in Leipzig, Germany. More than 21,000 experts from the various disciplines and professions involved come together to present and discuss the quality of treatment, innovations in technology, the ‘state of the art’ in their field and visions of what the future might look like.
As well as the major innovators and market leaders, there are many smaller factories and workshops, research and educational establishments, represented on more than 40,000 square metres of floor space in three halls. Half of the exhibitors come from abroad.
In addition to the exhibition with its opportunities for hands-on experience of innovative new technologies and techniques, OTWorld offers further professional development opportunities through the Congress. The programme of the congress is all about greater dialogue, discursive formats and practical relevance. The subject matter revolves around ‘Treatment 4.0’, modern processing and manufacturing techniques and rehabilitation of the most seriously disabled children, as well as the latest treatments for sportsmen and women.
