In accordance with its mission, ISPO publishes peer reviewed information in journal, text, and electronic formats.

ISPO's official journal Prosthetics and Orthotics International (POI) is one of the major international scientific publications in the field of prosthetics and orthotics. Published four times a year, it is available free of charge to ISPO members (note that the frequency will be increased to six editions per year as of 2013).

ISPO eUpdates are sent to the entire membership and stakeholders on a bimonthly basis, informing about the latest developments in and around the Society. News and updates are provided on the activities of ISPO and its Member Societies, on events, programs and the like.

In addition, ISPO compiles other publications on an ad-hoc basis, such as reports from Consensus Conferences and conference reports and proceedings. Hardcopies of these publications can be ordered at the ISPO Head Office.

The ISPO Publications Committee oversees and evaluates all publications efforts of ISPO from a business, organizational and financial point of view.
