SUMMARY:ISPO Global Educators Meeting 2024
DESCRIPTION:The fourth Global Educators Meeting was held in Houston and continued the tradition of fostering collaboration and innovation in prosthetics and orthotics education. Theme: 								\n				\n				\n				\n					Innovate. Collaborate. Educate.				\n				\n				\n				\n									The programme was developed from responses to the GEM Educators’ Survey and provided a platform for educators to contribute to the future of P&O education. 								\n				\n				\n				\n							\n						\n				\n					 Participation \n							\n			\n			\n		\n\n						\n				\n				\n				\n									116 participants More than 20 countries Participants represented: Programme managementEducatorsAdministratorsAccrediting bodiesInternational and non-governmental organisations								\n				\n				\n					\n						\n				\n					 Highlights \n							\n			\n			\n		\n\n						\n				\n				\n				\n									Keynote SpeakersFeaturing internationally recognised leaders in health professions education including: Teri TurnerBryan Malaswho shared insights on scholarship\, growth mindset and educational leadership. Innovation in EducationSessions covered: Artificial Intelligence and Large Language ModelsGamificationAlternative assessmentSustainabilityClinical reasoningVirtual learningCompetency developmentEducational Research GrantThe first Educational Research Grant was launched with support from NCOPE\, ABC and Baylor College of Medicine. ISPO Education Accreditation Auditor TrainingFor the first time\, a fourth day was added to GEM to provide auditor training. Twelve participants from around the world completed the programme using a flipped classroom approach. 								\n				\n				\n					\n						\n				\n					 Key Outcomes \n							\n			\n			\n		\n\n						\n				\n				\n				\n									InnovationNew educational approaches including AI\, gamification and digital learning were explored. CollaborationNetworking opportunities and interactive sessions strengthened relationships between educators worldwide.
