The key focus at OTWorld 2020 (27- 29 October 2020, Leipzig, Germany) is providing people with optimal care in the age of digitalization.

The interdisciplinary world congress with over 320 speakers brings together prosthetists, orthotists, orthopaedic shoemakers, engineers, physicians and therapists from all over the world to exchange ideas on improving care options and developing new principles to benefit patients. The hands-on course programme will focus on prosthetics, orthotics and orthopaedic footwear technology, thematically integrating the intersections between medical and physiotherapeutic techniques. The factory talks demonstrate practical issues and technologies to offer a wide range of opportunities for interaction and discussion.

Highlights from the congress will also be presented to exhibition visitors in the Open Forum. In the new format "Interdisziplinäre Leuchttürme weltweit" (Interdisciplinary Beacons Worldwide), internationally acclaimed care teams will present interdisciplinary care concepts first hand. Experienced users will share fundamental knowledge in the new two-part specialist workshop on "Materials 2025 – Werkstoffkunde in der Orthopädie-Technik“ (Materials 2025 - Material Science in Prosthetics & Orthotics) With more than 570 exhibitors from 40 countries, OTWorld presents a unique array of opportunities to share information and knowledge. Market-leading companies, as well as start-ups, use the biannual international trade show and world congress to present their latest products, technologies and services.

Over 21,400 visitors from 90 countries will be introduced to numerous technologies used in orthopaedic treatment and care. Against a backdrop of rapid technological progress and the growing importance of ongoing training and further education in the field of technical orthopaedics, the new "Forum Bildung" (Education Forum) will present education and advanced training initiatives in the P&O sector from around the world.
