ISPO is delighted to announce that registration to the ISPO Global Educators Meeting 2022 is now open.
Representing a unique and important event in the calendar of prosthetics and orthotics educators and stakeholders from across the globe, this 3rd edition of GEM will take place between 8-10 June 2022. Due to the ongoing global pandemic and difficult international travel, GEM2022 will be held as a virtual event.
The overall theme of GEM2022 is Advancing P&O Education in Disruptive Times: Leveraging Opportunities. The event programme will focus on three main themes:
- Problems faced
- Solutions employed
- Challenges Remaining
Since GEM2022 will be a virtual event, pre-recorded presentations will be made available to registered participants as of 1st June 2022.
On each of the 3 days of the event, two hours of live sessions will be available at two different times during the days to accommodate different global time zones.
Registration to GEM is open to all persons involved in P&O education or having an interest in developing P&O education programmes until 29 May 2022.
Wheelchair Service Training
For the first time, GEM will collaborate with the International Society of Wheelchair Providers (ISWP) to offer an additional day of certified basic practical training on wheelchair services on 11 June 2022.
Participation is only available to paid registrants of GEM2022 and limited to 20 persons. You can indicate your interest in the GEM registration form. The fee for this course includes certification costs for the training. Places will be allocated on a first-come first-served basis.
The wheelchair training will be blended learning, with online theory classes in the weeks before the actual event. Therefore to be considered for participation in this training, persons will need to register for GEM2022 not later than 10th April 2022.
