Prof Saeed Zahedi knighted for outstanding services in amputee rehabilitation

Prof Saeed Zahedi, has been knighted in this year’s Queen Elisabeth of the UK Birthday Honours List to receive a Knighthood for his outstanding services to innovation in the field of amputee rehabilitation.


Prof Zahedi is ISPO UK President, a member of the ISPO Scientific Committee, ISO Task Officer, and sits on the ISPO Council of Industry Partners.

Prof Zahedi is a leader in gait and biomimetic design to create innovative prosthetic solutions that maximise the opportunities for amputees to restore their mobility. As a advocate for returning functionality to amputees, his work designing ground-breaking technology for integrated lower limb systems which provides countless amputees with the stability and confidence to negotiate slopes, ramps, stairs and uneven ground with a reduced risk of falls.
