ISPO Canada is proud to announce that the Canadian Prosthetics & Orthotics Journal (CPOJ) has launched. CPOJ is an international peer-reviewed open-access journal established in Ottawa, Canada. CPOJ promotes unrestricted access to articles for prosthetics and orthotics professionals, researchers, and rehabilitation teams. The scope of the journal includes prosthetics, orthotics, rehabilitation sciences, Mobility Assistive Technology (MAT), Internet of Things (IoT), and Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the prosthetics and orthotics field.
In addition to hosting regular scholarly communications, one of the journal aims is to be the lead repository and communicator of research theses and posters in the field of prosthetics, orthotics and rehabilitation sciences. This includes student posters and thesis abstracts that are reviewed by supervisory and evaluation committees. These can now be collected in the repository dedicated to this.
In the first issue’s editorial Transformation, Revolution, Evolution: Are We Crazy?, Dr. Silvia Raschke welcomes the launch of the new fully open-access journal from Canada in the field of prosthetics and orthotics.
