Last April, St. Luke’s Medical Center in Metro Manila, Philippines, in collaboration with ISPO Task Officer Prof. Jules Bercher organised an ISPO Short Course on Orthotic Management of Cerebral Palsy.
The multidisciplinary programme catered for needs of medical doctors, therapists (physiotherapists, occupational therapists etc.) and technicians (certified orthotists and prosthetists, CPO’s, but also other technicians and shoemakers) involved in the treatment of children with cerebral palsy. The four-day course offered a balanced combination of theory and practice as well as a unique opportunity for collaboration for the diverse audiences.
The organisers were delighted to report the successful outcome of the course which helped foster interdisciplinary cooperation in the P&O field in the Philippines.
