The ISPO Protocol Committee kindly invites ISPO members and Member Societies to propose nominations for the 2021-2023 ISPO Executive Board. In accordance with the Constitution, the Protocol Committee and current Executive Board will review all submitted nominations and create a list of recommended candidates for consideration by the International Committee.

ISPO is an international organization with over 70 Member Societies working in close collaboration and with common goals. Each Member Society can make one nomination only, which may either be a member from another Member Society, or from within the individual Member Society. (If a nomination is made to one of the officer positions and the same individual is also nominated for a seat on the Board this is considered as one nomination.)

It is important to be mindful that the International Executive Board should represent the multi-disciplinary membership of the society and the wide international distribution of the membership. It is therefore useful to consider the different professional disciplines and national background of the Board members to ensure an equitable distribution.

ISPO members and Member Societies should contact potential candidates to verify their willingness to serve on the ISPO International Executive Board. Criteria to be taken into consideration are particularly a proven leadership experience in national and/or international organizations, and an evidence of commitment and potential contributions to the EB.

The nomination papers that are to be submitted to ISPO Head Office include the following:

1) Candidate Form:
The candidate is requested to complete this form with his/her personal and professional information, as well as his/her motivation to join the ISPO Executive Board;

2) Nomination Form for Member Society:
A supporting citation by the nominating Member Society or member not exceeding 500 words to present reasons for the nomination and highlighting why the candidate is considered appropriate for election.

Nominations are to be submitted by Thursday, 30 April 2020. A preliminary list of nominations will be presented to the International Committee via email in May 2020. The final deadline to submit nominations will be on Friday, 26 June 2020.

It is possible to nominate an individual for a specific officer post but also as a Board member. If successful in both positions, the person vacates the seat as a Board member to the next ranked candidate.

The procedure and timeline for the elections is outlined in detail in this document.
