Defining Participants in Orthotic Research
The “ISPO Recommendation for Defining Participants in Orthotic Research” is an ISPO‐sanctioned data set for reporting participant characteristics in Orthotic research and development publications.
While this recommendation will have direct benefits for typical scientific publications, such as Prosthetics and Orthotics International, the data set can also improve how technical and clinical reports are designed and reported to the Orthotic community.
The report document outlines the recommendation’s background and rationale, overall considerations, lower extremity data sets, and upper extremity data sets.
Please direct any comments or suggestions to the ISPO Scientific Committee.
