The 12th ISPO World Congress was held in Vancouver, Canada from 28 July to 2 August 2007.
The Congress Organising Committee selected “Moving Beyond Disability” as the event’s theme, with the aim of looking at a broader perspective of the overall health of people with disabilities. The main theme encompasses a wider focus on elements surrounding disability or impairment; advances in technology to improve the capabilities of individuals with disabilities; improving capabilities of disability through a social model approach and the adaptation of appropriate technology to countries with limited resources.
