Capital Medical University (CMU)

The program of prosthetics and orthotics (P&O) at Capital Medical University (CMU) prepares students for entry into the fields of research and development of assistive devices, and to provide the service for physical disability and dyskinesia. Students are trained by combining engineering technology with rehabilitation medicine, through the clinical and basic science studies. CMU is the first university in China to provide undergraduate education in prosthetic and orthopedic engineering. Program Aims P & O at CMU focuses on cultivating students to possess the knowledge and skills in both rehabilitation medicine and engineering technology, and to engage in design and technical services in the fields of clinical rehabilitation, prosthetic and orthopedic engineering. P & O at CMU is designed to build a first-class undergraduate program of P&O in China.
