The fifth Global Educators Meeting took place in Bangkok, Thailand, from March 23 to 25, 2026. This meeting takes place every two years and is the only international meeting devoted to bringing together orthotics and prosthetics educators. The theme of this year’s meeting was “From Local Roots to Global Reach: Building Educational Bridges”. Day 1 focused on global perspectives and curricular innovation. Day 2 featured technology and teaching through innovation. Day 3 highlighted collaboration and community, emphasizing shared initiatives.
There were 154 registrants for this year’s meeting with 126 in attendance in Bangkok. Registrants represented 34 countries and a variety of P&O programs and organizations. The future of collaboration looks bright for teaching faculty.
For the second time, members of ISPO’s Education Core Committee conducted the Educators Auditor Training on the day following the GEM. The timing of this training session continues to serve the educator community well and offers new partners for ISPO accreditation activities.
